 | | 2008 Como Park Varsity Team | The 2008 Como Park Varsity Team made history with its spirited play, great chemistry, and hard-working talent. The Cougars finished with an overall record of 18-3 after being eliminated in an overtime shootout in the Section Championship Game. Finishing the regular season with the #12 ranking in the State Coaches Poll, Como earned the #1 seed for the Section 4A Tournament. They made it through 3 rounds of the Play-Offs | | Cougars getting ready for kick-off | and into the Championship Game, which was the first appearance at that level in school history. Other firsts in school history included entering and staying in the State Rankings through the season, while the 18 wins was also a new high for the program. Because of these accomplishments and more, Coach Eric Erickson was named the Section 4A Coach of the Year which was a wonderful tribute to the team as a whole.
